Funeral services were held for
O. S. Laird of Goldthwalte, Sun-
day, September 20, 1970 at 2:00
p.. m. In the Wilkins Funeral
Chapel. Interment was In the
Goldthwalte Memorial Ceme-
tery. Minister Joe W. Woodrum
conducted the services. Wilkins
Funeral Home was In charge of
arrangements.
Mr. Laird passed away Friday,
September 18, 1970 at 1:20 a.
m. in the Childress Hospital in
Goldthwalte. Born February 9,
1888 at Carbon Hill In Walker
County, Alabama, he was the
son of the late Isaac Laird and
Josephine Jaton Laird. He was
married to Nancy Couch on
June 17, 1905 in Brown County.-
She died March 11, 1963 and he
later married Amanda Wheatly
on April «, 1981. lii Llano. Mr.
Laird was a retired ship -bulld-
