Prof. Peters, principle of the Central
Ward school reports that out of a total
attendance of 370 pupils in that school
305 will be promoted at the opening of
the second term next Monday. This
permits 82 per cent, of the pupils in the
Central Ward to go one grade higher,
and is a good showing.
The week just closed has been exam-
ination week, and a number of thc pu-
pils have enjoyed a week of holiday by
having made such high grades during
the first term that they were exempt
from examination. The second terml
will start off Monday under the most
favorable condition, and the year prom-
ises to be rounded out as one of the
most successful for the Ballinger
schools.
