Historic Carnegie Library of Ballinger

The Historic Carnegie Library of Ballinger is located at 204 N. 8th Street., in Ballinger, Texas. The library strives to meet the needs of the community, as well as those of Runnels County residents. The library's services are free, but its history is priceless. Of the original 36 libraries in Texas funded by the Carnegie Foundation, the Ballinger Library is one of three Carnegie Library buildings in Texas still being used as a library. Built in 1909, the library was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
