Plans should be made for
repairing terraces weakened
by these rains or terraces
damaged by farm equipment
crossing them during the
farming season, Green said.
For a terrace to hold the
rain it was designed for it
should be maintained at the
proper height and width He
said this could be done by
filling low spots with a doz-
er, maintainer or farm equip-
ment and back furrowing to-
ward the terrace ridge with
a one-way.
Frank Gully, of the Rowena
community, is repairing his
terraces at this time. Gully
uses a blade mounted on his
farm tractor to build up low
spots and make back fills —
then uses a belt machine to
add height and width. Gully
