paving proposition was discussed at
some length. An engineer, Mr. Cleu-
denon of Mineral Wells, was present
and gave facts and figures concern-
ing -amt. Several citizens made
talk.-, concerning the nex-d of paving
and a sewer system . A vote was

Wellington should have paving
sewerage system. The cost of
jmvmg and terms tf paving for it
would make it so that every property

a block or two from the square could

jury in the trial of T. E. Sammons
of Shamrock, under indictment for
the slaying of Cary (Cutey) Brooks
at Shamrock on September 23, was
completed today at 2:30 o'clock and
the introduction of testimony was im-
mediately begun Eight members of
the jury are farmers, two are ranch- minded one of the joke about

Brooks was killed while Sammons
was marshal of Shamrock and the
case is being tried here on a change
of venue. District Judge Ewing is on
