The Devils very vi-
vidly remembered la-
st years 62-0 lick-
ing at the hands of
the Tigers and work-
ed hard to overcome
the strengths of the
neighboring Class A
team.
The game very def-
initely belonged to
the Blue Devils as
they showed their su-
premacy in every st-
atistical department
including first do-
wns, yards gained
and passing yardage.
The Devils took it
to the Tigers cont-
inually on defense as
they constantly th-
warted Leonard’s of-
fensive movements.
The Blue Devils we-
re unable to take ad-
vantage of the goal
stripe as they moved
into scoring territ-
ory five times but
were unable to score.
Untimely fumbles,
mistakes, and penal-
ties kept the Blue
Devils from moving
in for a touchdown.
Celeste was again
paced by senior line- ball on the move de-
ep in Celeste terr-
itory and looked as
though they might sc-
ore. However, a hard
hit by Trentham st-
ripped the Tiger ru-
nning back from the
ball and the Devils
recovered. Another

the defensive charg-

were recorded Senior

David Griffis with
seven tackles. Char-

ocked one punt. All
the other defensive
people made the de-

tackles and all de-

Offensively, Darr-

big story as the se-

eight carries.
