Gilmore the House reconsidered the
vote by which the Reedy amendment
for working convicts on public roads
was adopted to the penitentiary
bill yesterday. The Tillotson
amendment providing against ac-
quiring more than 10 000 acres for
convict farms in any one county
was tabled Tillotson declared that
many crimes resulted from the lo-
cation of convict farms In Brazoria
and Fort Bend counties.

Yantis sent up a concurrent res -
olutiqn asking the Texas delegation
in Congress to seek the repeal of
the fifteenth and the modification
of the fourteenth amendment to th*’
United States constitution in ordtr
