at the Electra Junior High

Kelley. Charles Nichols did not
run for re-election to this place
on the school district board
of trustees. Billy Thaggard
running for re-election to the
school board received 148 votes.
On the ballot for the hospital
district board of trustees, John
Prickett was elected to the
position vacated by Jack Hollis
with 147 votes. Hollis did not
seek re-election. Incumbents
Janet Gilbert, 145 votes, and
Teddie Miller, 139 votes, were
re-elected with no opposition.
In the race for city commis-
sioner, La June Lewis received
126 votes with no opposition,
and Jim Bentley received 112
votes. Aaron Trotter received
18 write-in votes for the place
two position won by Bentley.
The school district board can-
vassed votes in a special meet-
ing at noon on Monday, May 6,
and the hospital district board

Twenty-nine Electrans regis-
tered as blood donors during the
quarterly visit of the Red River
Regional Bloodmobile to Elec-
tra on Thursday, April 25.

employed at Electra Memorial
Hospital said, “As a health
