college courses.
To graduate early takes

The Valedictorian and

get all the accolades at grad-

top two highest GPA’s in the
senior class. But, two young
ladies have done something
very impressive as well.
Hayley Brey and Taylor
Jones, both are members of
the SHS Class of 2013, but
graduated a year early and
have been in college for a full
year, while their classmates
were still in high school.
Brey, the daughter of

accepted into Texas A&M
in Galveston, the, first stu-
dent to graduate a full year
early and be accepted into
the honors program and
receive a freshman scholar-
ship. She completed her first
year on the Dean’s List. She
currently works in the Sea
Life facility monitoring the
recovery of injured sea tur-
tles and many other injured
ocean life placed there by
the NOAH program. While
at SHS for three years she
was member of National
Technical Honors Society,
National Art Honors Soci-
ety, National Honors Soci-
ety, FCCLA, Ocean Bowl,
PALS, Robotics Club and
still graduated in top 10% of
her class.

Reginald and Derbha Jones.

years, she made a mark.

lowing honors while at SHS
in basketball - Academic
