The Record learns an immense

entering the city being “literally

and all seemed to enjoy the day’s

Cuero
Some Cuero People Have Learned
How to Get Rid of Both.
Backache and kidney ache are
twin brothers.
You can’t separate them.
And. you can’t get rid of the
backache until you cure the kidney
ache.
If the kidneys
stroog, the rest of the system is
pretty sure to be in vigorous health.
Doan’s Kidney Pills make strong,
healthy kidneys.
George Zimmermanq, engineer,
Cuero, Texas, says: “My trouble
was a lameness across my kidneys
accompanied by a constant, dull
ache in my back. When I stood
on my feet for any length of time
sharp pains darted through my
body and this was also the case
when I rose from a sitting or
reclining position. My kidneys
wgre sluggish and I bad a frequent
inclination to pass the secretions.
I also bad dull headaches and was
handicapped in doing my work.
Doan’s Kidney Pills were so highly
recommended that I finally pro-
cured a box from the Cuero Drug
Co. and began their use. Almost
immediately ray trouble was re?
lieved and before long rhe pain and
lameness entirely disappeaied from
my back. I give Doan’s Kidney
Pills my strongest endorsement.*’

Clear Creek Crossing Where
Bridges Were Washed Away
a Very Dangerous One. .
*
C. L Burghard, Alois and Arthur
Paltnie came very near losing their
lives yesterday about noon while
attempting to cross Clear Creek at
the crossing where the two bridges
were washed away. They were
driving one of J. J. Fischer’s h rses
hitched to Frqnk Gohmert’s buggy
and in attempting to cross tbe
| creek the horse stepped a little to
j one side into about fifteen feet of
I water, jerking the buggy along
I with him, and was drowned. Mr.
Burghard jumped out with little
Arthur Paltuie, who Is only five
years old, in time to keep from
swimming for their lives, but Alois
Palmie had to swim out^ The
buggy was recovered today.
This crossing, tbe Record is in-
formed, is a very dangerous one,
only a narrow place, just wide
enough for 3 baggy* is shallow
enough to ford aud anyone crossing
not familiar with it, runs a great
risk of losing their lives, especially
ladies and children. It should be
given prompt attention.
Sunday School Picnics.
The Lutheran Sunday school
bad its picnic on the river near tbe
Schleicher bridge yesterday, San
Jacinto day, and the children had
a big time of it.
( The Episcopal Sunday school
|enjoyed its picnic yesterday, also,
j going up to Dr. W. W. White’s
pasture on tbe Concrete road, the
same place tbe Buchel school al-
ways has its closing picnic and bar-
becue—an ideal pjace. The chil-
* n
dren bad a glorious time, to say
nothing of the “grown ups’’ in at-
tendance.
