First Baptist Church of Desde-
mona presented their Easter Cantata
last Sunday morning with the Adult
choir singing "Spread the News".
Program cast members were Mike
Riggs as Andrew, Robert Cummings
as Nathaniel, Helen Grimshaw as
Woman from Jerusalem, Jay
Grimshaw as Roman Soldier, Karen
Eaves as Mary Magdalene. Readers
were Ashton Cummings, Lane Shir-
ley, Michelle King, Camron Cum-
mings, Brittany Shirley. Bro. Jim Hag-
gard, pastor, left on Monday, March
29, to serve as a missionary in the
South African Hindu, Indian territory
for the next six weeks.
Marsha Johnson and son, Chris
of Lovington, New Mexico spent the
past week on Spring Break visiting
her parents. Bob & Merlene Wis-
dom.
James Buckley of Graham visited
the past week-end with his brother,
Jerry and Pat Buckley.
Larry, Gay Moore and her father,
Shorty Fox visited the past week in
Las Vegas, Nevada with Shorty's sis-
ter.
Larry and Melinda Walker and
children, Selina and Scott, Pat Buck-
ley were in Stephenville last Sunday
eve to attend the funeral of Larry's
grandmother, Eula Walker. Our sin-
cere sympathy goes out to this fam-
ily.

price is by donation only. This family
needs your love and support to help
them at this time.
Desdemona monthly musical had
good attendance last Saturday night.
We appreciate all the area musicians
who attend each month, the visitors
and those who donate food each time
for the concession stand. It is so
good to live in a community like ours
where everyone helps do their part
to keep our community "Alive” and
going strong.
