MESSAGE
OF
conqpeqation Beth yeshunun
Our Youngsters Will Lead the Service . , .
Our Rabbi Will be Honored by the
Beth Yeshurun Schools at
Early Shabbat Prayers
Friday, January 27 - 6-6:45 p.m.
Every ESP is special because it’s a Shabbat celebration
which the whole family can share together. But some ESPs
are ESPecial and January 27 is one of them! Not only will the
entire service be conducted by the small fry from the Nursery,
Primary and Pre-First Beth Hayeled classes, it will also be
the happy evening when Rabbi Jack Segal will receive his
JNF certificate for a grove of 1000 trees in Israel. The gift is
a show of love from the students of our Beth Yeshurun Schools,
as well as from lots of other members who know that no gift
would give our rabbi greater joy than this contribution to life
in his beloved Israel.
After the Service ... an ESPaghetti Dinner!
Immediately following ESP, you can join the rabbi and the
Beth Hayeled students at a dandy dinner of spaghetti, tossed
salad, baby carrots, and brownies, plus, of course, challah and
wine. The cost is just $5.00 per adult and $3.00 per child, but
reservations close Tuesday, January 24! So call 666-1884 and
make your reservations today!
There will be NO 8 p.m. service on January 27.

These Nursery students are just some of the Beth
Hayeled youngsters who will lead the ESP service. Also
participating will be the “big kids” from the Primary
and Pre-First grades.
On January 28, 47 Ladies Star at Sisterhood Shabbat!
Join Our “You’ve Come a Long Way” Celebration Saturday, January 28 - 10 a.m.
BK ■ Time was, not too long ago, when Sisterhood Shabbat was the
only occasion of the year when the women of Beth Yeshurun
could shine at services. But now, our female members, many of
them graduates of our Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah classes, often
take part on Shabbat. Still, Sisterhood Shabbat is the highlight
event, and you’re invited to pay the ladies tribute on January
28. Guest speaker will be Lynn Goldberg, president of the Sis-
terood, and the Torah readers will be Doris Abramson, Bobbi
Asarch, Riva Isgur, Esther Kaplan, Linda Kashar, Joanne
King, Susan Marblestone and Brenda Yosowitz. Chanting the
Haftorah will be Rosemarie DeVido and Lois Kupor.
Other Sisterhood Shabbat Participants:
Judy Grundfast
Shirley Katz
Sondra Katz
Adrianne Lavis
