Students at Sanger ISD
are finding some changes at
their schools as the new year
begins. District wide
enrollment is up. Figures
released August 24. show an
increase of 43 students
enrolled in the district.
Tuesday, August 23,
enrollment at Sanger ISD
was set at 1,655 students. In
May 1993, the number of
students enrolled in Sanger
schools totaled 1,612.
Chisholm Trail
Elementary School Principal
Lisa Glenn reported that
enrollment at the school is
580, and that the first few
days of school have been
virtually problem-free.
"Were off to a great
start," she said, but she
would like to remind parents
that they can pick up their
children between 3:15 and
3:30. Parents who arrive
earlier, she said, cause some
traffic problems around the
school.
"We have plenty of space
for students.” she said,
pointing out that adequate
classroom seating is available
for all students and that no
classes have exceeded the
state-mandated teacher-
student ratio of 1 teacher for
every 22 students.
Alice Madden, principal of
Sanger Intermediate School,
is especially proud of newly
completed renovations to
that school.
