AIR MAIL - SPECIAL DELIVERY
Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Kempner
2504 Avenue 0
Galveston, Texas
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Kempner:
Mr. Brown from Brooklyn, Arkansas, sent you a
package by express from Hoxie, Arkansas today. This is the
best he could do. These fish came from Reel Foot Lake,
Tennessee. I could have had them cleaned and left the heads
on, but I didn't know whether you would want them that way
so I had them cleaned country style - heads off. Any time
you want the heads left on, let me know and the next time
I will leave them on.
The bird season was very bad here - the worst
we've had in years. These came 60 miles north and west of
here.
I am feeling some better and am able to get down
to the office every day and I am going up to St. Louis this
weekend for another check-up. I have already found out that
I am not a young colt - just an old horse: feed them in the
winter and they die in the spring.
We have had an epidemic of flu up here and I am
only hoping that I don't get it.
Kindest regards to you both and I hope you
receive Mr. Brown's package in good shape. Please let me
know if the package arrives safely.
Sincerely,
Sol S. teinberg
