Dear Ernst:
Jeane and I received a couple of days ago a
very delicious box of biscuits which you and Elizabeth
were kind enough to send us for Christmas with your
good wishes. We were so happy to receive same and
to know that you were thinking of us.
It was a sad Christmas for us because my
brother, Stanley, died two days before Christmas
at the age of 69. His death, however, had been
expected for two or three months so the shock was
not as bad as it might otherwise have been.
Again our thanks and best wishes from Jeane
and myself to you and Elizabeth.
Yours sincerely,
Mr. Ernst Freund
