REGULAR MEETING OF TRUSTEES - MONDAY, MARCH 20th, 1939
Hebrew School Committee: Mr. Morris Catchman,
reported that he had made his first visit to this school in
and was greatly impressed with the work being
done and results accomplished by the pupils. There was an
enrolment of between 80 to 85 students in the various classes
among which was a senior group taking an advanced course of
religious studies. Mr. Greenfield, in charge of the school,
was ably assisted by Mr. Max Weiner, and it was his opinion
that both were doing excellent work. He noticed that students
made a particular study of the weekly portion of the Torah.
It was his belief that the Hebrew School was functioning in
a most excellent manner and he had no suggestions to make other
than that reported on at the last meeting relative to systematic
courses in the various schools.
Mr. Moe Mandel, Chairman, had
