Letter addressed to Sir--Mr. Walter Hodges, Nocona, Texas from the Private Secretary for President Sandefer, Simmons College dated August 3, 1911. [T. N. Carswell was private secretary to J. D. Sandefer in 1911.] A reply letter, in the absence of President Sandefer, regarding the invitation issued to Sandefer by Hodges to speak. Assurance to Hodges that Sandefer will accept the invitation, if possible, stating, "Sandefer is never more at himself than when speaking—to the men who wore the gray".
