Polk, Inc. and funded through a Texas Parks and Wildlife grant and the City of Emory. The near 1/2-mile walking trail follows the perimeter of the park area and includes three
bridges spanning Sandy Creek that were fabricated by Hooten’s Hardware and Welding and received some funding from Texas New Mexico Power.The asphalt surface of the
walking trail includes concrete for stabilization. Working under a 100-day construction contract, completion of the trail is expected in January.
