speeding.
On Sunday, April 18 at 9:10
a.m., Sgt. McCready and Chief
Allen responded to the Westview
Apartments in reference to violation
of a protective order.
At 11:40 a.m., officers
responded to a minor accident in the
100 block of south Third.
At 4:20 p.m.. Officer Worlow
located a 1988 Chevrolet that had
been stolen from the Grandview
Apartments on Tuesday. As
Worlow was off-duty, he contacted
Chief Allen who came to the
location on FM 916 to make the
recovery.
At 6:30 p.m., Officer Jefferson
arrested a 37 year old Fort Worth
man for driving while license
suspended. The subject is currently
on parole. A passenger, a 32 year
old Itasca woman was arrested on a
Johnson County warrant for theft.
At 8:20 p.m., Chief Allen and
Sgt. McCready were called back to
the Westview Apartments in
reference to a protective order.
At 10:50 p.m., Sgt. McCready
and Officer Jefferson responded to
the 100 block of Criner to check for
a prowler A suspect was located
and detained.
At 11:50 p.m., Sgt. McCready
and Officer Jefferson arrested a 23
year old Dallas man and a 20 year
old DeSoto nun on outstanding
warrants.
One citation for speeding was
issued on this date.
Three new officers are being
added to the Grandview Police
Department. These officers are to
replace officers that left for per-
manent employment in other police
departments. The new officers are
Bret Baker, Larry Hall, and Mike
Cooley. They will begin a field
training immediately under the
supervision of Sgt. McCready.

On Monday, April 12 at 12:30
p.m., Officer De Vault took a report
of fuel being stolen from several
school buses.
At 7:20 p.m., Sgt. McCready
received a report from the Sheriffs
Department that shots were being
) fired in the area of College and
Fifth. McCready advised them that
he is firing 'bird bombs' in an
attempt to scare away the thousands
of birds that are roosting in the
trees at College and Bois d'Arc.
Bird bombs are small explosive
charges that are fired from a 12
gauge shotgun high into the air.
This is being done due to the
extreme health hazard caused by bird
droppings.
On Tuesday, April 13 at 6:45
p.m., Sgt. McCready took a report
concerning threats.
At 10:55, Sgt. McCready took
a report of a car being stolen from
the Grandview Apartments. The
keys had been left in the ignition.
On Thursday, April 15 at 7:01
p.m., Officer Worlow responded to
a disturbance at the Westview
Apartments.
At 11:25 p.m., Officer Worlow
responded to an disturbance at the
Grandview Apartments.
On Friday, April 16 at 2:00
a.m., Officer Worlow investigated a
suspicious vehicle in the 1000
block of Criner.
At 9:00 a.m., Chief Allen took
a report of a burglary of a motor
vehicle in the 100 block of Gillum
at the corner of McDuff (FM 4).
Both doors were stolen from a
Chevrolet pickup.
At 8:36 p.m., Officer Poeggel
arrested a 27 year old Itasca man for
driving while intoxicated and
unlawfully carrying a weapon
(pistol).
On Saturday, April 17 at 5:00
p.m., Chief Alien was called to
take a report of a burglary in the
* 100 block of W. Criner. A lawn 1
mower was taken from a garage
At 10:40 p.m., Officers Kass
and Baker arrested a 38 year old Fort
Worth man for driving while I
license suspended, reckless driving, ,
and on outstanding Fort Worth I
warrants. .
