local agents, the State Board of
Pharmacy, the State Department of
Health, and a special agent ef the Bureau
of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.
The men have been through an 80-day
course in specialised law enforcement
techniques at the Bureau of Narcotics
national training institute in Washington
There, they have been taught the most
current methods for preventing drugs
from being diverted from legitimate
sources to the streets. The subjects include
drug counterfeiting, undercover investi-
gation, surveillance, photography. and
techniques for criminal and accountability
investigations.
A study of Texas drug laws was also in
the program, which is part of a three-state
pilot program set up by a $2 million federal
grant. If successful here, the program will
be extended nationwide.

TUESDAY ACCIDENT - Two persons were tnjured in a two-car collision on State 6 to
Alexander about 10445 a.m. Tuesday. The men were taken to a Dublin hospital where
Sherman Wallace Reed, 48, of Clairette was treated and Wilson Shillingburg, 56, a
Dublin rural mail carrier, was tranalerred to a Stephenville bospital. Reed was later
translerred to a Veterans Hospital in Temple. Shillingburg was in intensive care where
he wasreported in fair condition. Apparently ae bones were broken but he was believed
to have a slight concussion. The men were traveling alone. Both cars were heavily
damaged and one side of Shillingburg’s car (top picture) was shore off. Shillingburg
