Two teen-agers were killed and two
were injured in a two-vehicle collision
early Saturday morning on Highway 6 in
Algoa. authorities said.
Donald Lee Schueneman, 17, of Alvin
and Robert D. Parish, 16, of Manvel
were dead at the scene, a spokesman for
the Texas Highway Patrol said.
Sixteen-year-old Johnny Breaux of
Alvin was taken in critical, condition to
John Sealy Hospital in Galveston.
Volunteer Fire Department about 2 a.m.
Monday. Fire Chief Don Eernisse said.
The home was completely engulfed in
flames by the time fire fighters arrived,

Alvin police detained the yoith after
Sgt. Jerome Jozwiak recognized the
vehicle as fitting the description put out
by the sheriff's department, Smith said.
Two other male juveniles were in the car
with the suspect when he was detained.

Funeral services for Mr and Mrs.
Baize are pending at Martin-Carden

About $400 worth of merchandise was
reported stolen from a storage and
business building at 113 N, Gordon
sometime within the past two weeks.
Alvin police said.
Romeo Goddard reported to police
Saturday that tools, lumber, copper
wiring and pool rack and cues were
missing from the building, police said.
Intruders apparently -entered the
building by bending window bars and
breaking the glass, police said.
Rickey Bob Beard of Liverpool .was
charged with felony driving while in-
toxicated and 12 traffic violations
Saturday night after fleeing from an
Alvin police officer and hitting two
parked vehicles, police said. a

at Alvin Community Hospital and

Motel Burglary
Arthur Darryl Blackwell of Alvin told
police his 3835 stereo was stolen from an
Alvin Motel room, authorities said.
The burglary occurred between 7 and 9
p.m. Saturday, police said.

A 16-year-old boy suspected of
shooting his parents to death and then
setting their, mobile home ablaze was
being held in Brazoria County juvenile
■ detention Tuesday, authorities said
The badly burned bodies of Gene and
Wanda Baize-were found early Monday
morning after Alvin fire fighters were
called to their home in the Davis Bend
area on County Road 390. authorities
said.
Their son. had been released Friday
from a state institution for juvenile
to have Wimberly pull down the
rebound, head-fake, and put in the
banker from directly under the basket.

bound Highway 35 north as it curves into

Christian was driving south on High-
way 35 about 7:40 p.m Saturday when
her 1972 Oldsmobile Delta left the
roadway and struck and bent a Com-
munity Public Service utility pole about
90 feet from the roadway, the accident
report said.
About 7:40 p.m. Friday, Tello was
southbound at the same place in a 1976
Dodge van when his vehicle left the road
and alse hit a utility pole. police said.
His professional background' includes
having work as a rehabilitation coun-
selor with the Texas Rehabilitation
Commission in Galveston and as a child
welfare worker with the State Depart-
ment at Publie Welfare

been as a problem solver." says Wof-

Michael Allen Evans, 16, of Alvin was ,
also listed in stable and fair condition at
John Sealy Hospital, a spokesman said.
The accident occurred about 1:05 a.m.
Saturday on Highway 6 near White's
Liquor Store, authorities said.
According to Trooper Larty Bolton,
who investigated the accident, a 1949
Dodge driven by Evans was struck as it
backed from a private drive. Breaux,
driver of a 1979 Chevrolet, was south-
bound on Highway 6 when the collision
occurred, the accident report said. .
The two who were killed were
passengers in Evans’ vehicle,
authorities said.
No charges are pending, the Highway
Patrol spokesman said.
The third overtime ended at 55-55 with seconds left. Alvin was then awarded
Goff hitting two free throws with 13 the ball because of the technical but

While the Parent Volunteer
program is experiencing success
at the elementary and primary
schools reviewed so far, it has not
yet gone into effect at" Alvin High
School.
According to- teacher coor-
• dinator Rosa Ann Josey, those
active in the program are
currently making efforts to
recruit volunteers to assist high
school teachers
The duties include record
keeping, grading papers,
designing bulletin boards, typing.

girls I've run out of things to say. When
Cassandra fouled out I felt Sophie was
our strongest rebounder She just came
