Geren. The view shows the facade and left side of the building. It is a three-story brick and concrete building. Printed on the top of the image in black is the title, "Marshall High School, Marshall, Texas." The code number a5,755-N is printed on the lower right corner of the image. Printed on the back of the card on the left edge of the message section: "Published by Marshall Peanut Candy Co., Marshall, Texas." Printed between the message and address sections: "'Colourpicture' Publication. Cambridge, Mass., U.S.A." The postmark on the back of the card is dated Oct 17, 1947. The message is addressed to Mr. W. V. Hornsby, Fort Worth, Texas.

Notes

Marshall News Messenger on 11/20/1938 featured an article showing the proposed rendering of the new high school building, designed by Fort Worth architect Preston M. Geren and an article describing features of the building. Construction was to begin near the end of December of that year.
