Many Students Seek The Lord
During Campus Revival
It was thrilling and gratifying to
watch the Lord move in the midst of
LeTourneau College students and
faculty recently.
Night after night as the crowds
gathered, the song services were
blessed. Led by Nels Stjernstrom
and Professor Hynes, students sang
in the choir, sang special trio and
duet numbers, and played instru-
ments to the glory of God. Those
present were thankful for the oppor-
tunity of taking time out in the
midst of acquiring an education, to
worship.
When the invitations were given,
an encouraging number of young
people came forward to dedicate
themselves to the Lord. Others came
for counselling, and - through guid-
ance by Evangelist Dr. Cole and
college personnel - found Jesus
Christ as their own Savior. probably
Speaker for this occasion was Dr.
George Cole, pastor of Calvary Bap-
Complete Registration Data

36; Michigan, 34; and Illinois, 30.
From a recent bulletin of the in-

comparative figures are interesting:
in 1953 LeTourneau's enrollment

1963 - 409; 1964 - 547.tist Church, Bristol, Pennsylvania.
After graduating from Wheaton Col-
lege and earning his B.D. at Eastern
Baptist Seminary, Dr. Cole and his
wife served as missionaries in China
for four years until the Communists
took over, forcing them to flee.
Dr. Cole is greatly in demand as
a missionary speaker and LeTour-
neau College feels honored that he
was able to devote a week here
ministering to young people.
College Celebrates
Shakespeare's Birthday
Several hundred guests visited the
Margaret Estes Library at LeTour-
neau College last month to view the
most complete and unusual Shake-
spearean exhibit East Texas has
prbbyever seen.
According to Mrs. Doris Andersen,
college librarian, and PoesrRb
ert Professor Rob-
H. Selby of the English Depart-
ment, the response to open house by
invitation brought well over 100
college and high school librarians,
administrators, teachers and other
interested persons, to see the exhibit
loaned to the college by the Folger
Library in Washington, D.C. Guests
came from many neighboring com-
munities. (See photo on page 2.)
Guests were enthusiastic about the
Shakespearean material, surprised to
see so much of it gathered in one
place. Some were heard to comment
on the beauty and utility of the
Margaret Estes Library.Campus Work Progresses
As this article goes to press, work
is progressing nicely on several dif-
ferent campus projects.
Women's residence hall is being
occupied by all on-campus women.
Work is being rushed on the "core"
section. As of this writing, lamin-
ated beams are being installed. Con-
crete floors are ready for tile as soon
as roof is complete. (See photo be-
low.) Work continues on three other
wings.
Old buildings are being moved
away. (See photo on page 4.) After
weeks of cutting buildings apart,
strengthening them, a n d jacking
them up, movers finally rolled three
old barracks away in one day. Re-
sult: a much nicer view from Mob-
berly Avenue.
Student Center nears completion.
Air-conditioning (and central heat)
is completely installed, floors have
been sanded and varnished. Now
ceilings are being finished, walls are
being textured and kitchen equip-
ment is soon to be installed. Result:
it will be much larger and nicer
than before.
New Aeronautical Building is al-
ready in the process of being built.
Concrete foundations and floors have
been poured, and the all-metal pre-
fabricated shell should be construct-
