w Peoria Thermometer Runs Temperature
vThis week when Peoria's thermometer ran a temperature most
Everybody had an idea as to what to do about it. JeBc,pe
pare-to-ship, took the shirt off his back and put a Joe Buck, pre-
head. Between shifts Geo. Samuelson & Ted Newberg, printing,
& LeRoy Benson, prod., took Alice Johnson, standards, & Irma
drenes, cafeteria, breezing around Peoria Lake. Multiple drill
-ched itself in soluble oil. Concrete gang (Shovelers Ivan
Yontz & Bob McCord) wore straw hats, handkerchiefs & tan
coats. Machinist Ralph Cotton had a coke. Pressman Frank
Weber, Painter Willard Schurman & Chainman Ervin Gwaltney
waited for W. D. Carnal, blade furnace, to quench a big thirst.
Printing Layoutman Merrill Harris kept cool between 2 fans.
Benita Peard, main office, tried the refrigerated fountain, and
even the time
