the 1965 Dress Revue highlight-
ed 4-H Girls modeling the
latest fashions for school, sports
and formal occasions. This An-
nual 4-H event was July 27,.
at Fellowship. Hall, First Meth-
odist Church, Rosenberg. The
review of fashions began at
8 p.m. Throughout the year in
the total clothing program
these 4-H members study style
and design of fashions, poise,
good grooming and construction
methods in preparation for the
Dress Revue. Approximately
eighty-nine girls planned to par-
ticipate in this one day event.
The morning session included
modeling before the judges
and the afternoon session in-
cluded the judging of rec-
ord books and garment con-
struction.

dance masters, Beverly Butaud,
Grover Abel, Patsy Swayze,
Gertrude Edward Jory, famous
ballerina o f Detroit, Mich.
Becky has had three special
courses in ballroom dancing be-
sides extensive tap, ballet, and
acrobat. She has owned her
"Becky MeFerran School of
Dance" in Katy for 3 years and
has now opened a school of ba-
ton.
Annual SFA Golf
Classic Planned For
Sunday, August 22
Plans are going on as sched-
uled for the 2nd annual Steph-
en F. Austin Golf Classic, Sun-
day, August 22. Over 450 lbs. of
heavy aged beef brisket was
purchased for the event this
past week. Entry cards will be
mailed out this week to all who
participated in last years tour-
nament. Anyone wishing to en-
ter this years tournament, who
did not play last year, may do
so by contacting either Tom
Ewens or Leroy Zapalac no lat-
er than August 20.
To Begin Aug. 10
The 1965 edition of the Sealy
Tiger Band will begin summer
rehearsals Tuesday, August 10,
at 7:30 p.m. Rehearsals’will be
held in the old band hall which
has been moved behind the jun-
ior high school. The band’s new
building will be ready around
the first of December.
This year’s summer band
schedule will be as follows:
Tuesday, August 10, 7:30 to
9:00 p.m.; Thursday, August
12, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday,
August 17, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.;

Cat Spring and engaged in

and a merchant. He retired
September 1, 1964.
Mr. Buechmann attained the
age of 85 years, 10 months and
18 days.
Funeral services were held at
4 p.m. Wednesday, July 28,
from the Chapel of the Pete E.
Etlinger Funeral Home here,
with Rev. O. C. Schreiner offic-
iating. Interment was in the
Sealy Cemetery with Etlinger
Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were nephews.
Survivors besides his widow
are one son, Eugene Lee Buech-
mann of Sealy; four sisters,
Mrs. Ida Bielefeld of Bellville,
Mrs. Willie Islet, New Ulm, Mrs.
Hugo Bosshamer of Houston,
and Mrs. Paul Mehner of Man-
or; three brothers, Hugo of
Kenney, Ed of New Ulm, and
Paul of Shiner, and a number of
nieces and nephews.

his parents, three sisters, three
brothers and an infant daugh-
