porate income tax rates from 52
to 50 per cent this year, then to
48 per cent when fully effective
next year.

40,000 other FFA members
throughout Texas in observing
National FFA week February
15-22. This year’s theme is "Ag-
riculture, Dynamic and Chal-
lenging.”
A regular monthly meeting of'
the chapter Monday night start-
ed off the chapter’s list of ac-
tivities they will participate in
during the week. Seventeen
members received the Chap-
ter Farmer Degree, which is
the second degree of advance-
ment in FFA work, at Monday
night’s meeting.
The chapter also reviewed the
various activities they partici-
pated in during the past year on
a local, district, area, state and
national level. One of the high-
light* of the year was the -win-
ning of the silver emblem in the
