WASHINGTON, Oct. 26—Opti-
mism over the future fl business,
both nationally and internationally,
was expressed today by the Nation-
al Businens Survey Conference in
a summary of economic conditions
for the first nine months of 1313.
The organisation, set up a year
, ago by business and financial lead-
ers in co-operation with President
Hoover, has conducted a continu-
om atudy of business conditions.
“In the preparation of this num-
mary several factors wers appar-
ent,” the report, signed by Julius H.
Barnes, chairmen, said. “Among
tbeee were ths large amount of aew
capital Provided for productive pur-
poses and evidences of stabilisation
or advancing tendencies ia prises af
mw Materisls. All such factors each
business man will wish to weigh for
himself.”
Supporting this conclusion, it wm
pointed out that lending operations
of banks had markedly increased;
that capital issues for September
were 30 per cent greater than those
of August and that "a decreasing
number of foreclosures and della-
quencies reflected continued im-
provement la the field of first Ilea
banking" Ne uniform trend, either
up or down, was visible as to savings
deposits.
