Halty, Milton Salzmann, and El-
mer Frazier. A local contractor
and members of the Legion Post
will accomplish the work. When
completed, the home will be for

Medina County Assn, for Excep-
tary school teaching, showing
all the equipment, visual aids,
bopks, and procedures for, the
coming year. Also shown will be
Reyes Botelid, Castroville, was
charged with simple assault,
fined $100plus court costs, and
jailed after he forded Joe Peral-
es, Castroville, at knife-point to
Medina River where he was beat-
en. Perales was treated by a lo-
cal dctor. His new shoes and
cash were stolen.
Investigation continued in the
theft of items from the Je Bou-
bels’ car and attempted theft of

The Haller House was built by
Louis Haller, who immigrated
from Alsace-Lorraine. It is 1 of
the few houses built of cut stbne,
According to information, the
house is more than 100 years old.
Being a pioneer home, the Amer-
ican Legion ws asked'to save
the building as a historical home.
The Legion purchased the build
ing 2% years ago.
Renovation work will progress
as financial conditions permit
Several donations, monetary and
material, have been received to-
ward the project. Any contribu-
tions to the restoration of the
pioneer home will be greatly ap- ’
predated.

Korean conflict, and Vietnam

Jesse's Gulf Station in as-

day night, July 30. Eleven new
tire and a heavy-duty jack were
taken. Entry was made by break-
ing louvers in an east window.
/The sheriff’s department had 2
suspects and were making an ef-
fort to'match'fingerprints of the
suspects with those found at
the scene of the burglary.
