position and the lone finalist
for the job, Pamela Morris,
was officially hired during a
school board meeting
Wednesday night.
“I look forward to it,” Morris
said, after being congratulat-
ed by the board.
Her contract is for three
years with the district and
she will officially start work
June 1.
Six board members voted in
favor and one member voted
against hiring Morris. The
dissenting vote was cast by
board member James Lee,
who also had the dissenting
vote when the board moved to
name Morris the lone finalist
21 days before the
