Join Hands Day
KJT Society No. 80 of Sealy, Boy Scouts and members of Immaculate Conception Church “Joined Hands" March
31. They worked together to clean the parish cemetery and removed old, faded and Christmas flowers that were
still on the graves. The group placed new spring flowers on many of the older graves and on those without flow-
ers. KJT Society No. 80 furnished soda and juice for the workers.
Beautification
program
Employees from the Wal-Mart
Distribution Center took time out in
April to help beautify Sealy in honor
of Earth Day. Paul Peterson (kneel-
ing), Torn Nagy and Bill Wayland put
the finishing touches on the flower
bed in front of the Sealy sign near
Tony’s Restaurant. The group,
joined by Kay Murphy and Mike
Davis, also did plantings at City
Hall. Distribution Center employees
also planted live oaks at their loca-
tion.

Cat Spring
having
busy spring
By MARY ANDREAS
_____________Cat Spring_____________
Sunday morning, Pastor
Haug baptized Skylar Leigh
Ordner, who is the daughter
of Colin Ordner and
Amanda Iselt, at St. John’s
Lutheran Church. Her
sponsors are Carlyle Eric
Ordner and Justin Iselt.
Congratulations to all and
we welcome her to our con-
gregation.
Funeral and graveside
services were held Friday
morning at the Cat Spring
Cemetery for Viola Stuessel.
She leaves one daughter,
Gloria Ann Hopkins and
several grandchildren. In
her early days, she was a
hard-working farm lady,
who knew how to run the
tractor for any work that
had to be done on the farm
or hay patch.
Saturday, I spent in El
Campo with my son David,
with Ginger and with Eric,
who had his 25th birthday.
Happy birthday, Eric.
