Hotel on the River59th Annual Reunion
Aug. 30 - Sept. 2, 1984
T he 1984 Reunion at San Antonio will be
the eighth time to visit River City. Check-
ing our files here are the early ones 1947, 1953,
1960 and 1964.
Then there followed a decade of inactivity in River
City. The old 141st chapter was falling apart and apathy
took over. Then at Dallas 1974, a new, fired-up bunch of
Santone Patchers put on a helluva lobbying effort, and
they got it for 1975 - with Sammie Petty as president for
that year.
With the newly-organized "San Antonio Chapter"
running wild, they let down the gates and took 'all red-
blooded 36thers in that area. They continued to get big-
ger and better. The 1975 bash at the El Tropicano was
our 50th Annual Reunion, and we went back again in
1978 (Gunter), and 1981, where we returned to the
Tropicano. So now, all you have to do is show up ...but
Mary Steitle and LENWLK want you to let 'em know,
so you won't get "short-sheeted".
Remember - this Santone bunch are professionals,
at entertaining, that is, so don't worry about a thing,
just Start Packin'.
where the action is! 7This year is our 4th outing at the El Tropicano, and you'll be
amazed at the new things they have done for us ... all $10
million worth in their remodeling program. Send in your Hotel
Reservation Card as soon as possible.
