FROM YANCEY
Nearly all of last week we had
wet weather, and this, Monday,
morning it has set in raining a-
gain, and it may continue for
several days; almost reminds us
of 1928, when we had nine week
of rainy weather. This is splen-
did weather for oats and also
putting the ground in shape for
| breaking. Roads are getting ra-
: ther muddy, and slippery in
some places.
Last Thursday afternoon the
Home Economics Class enter-
tained with a Tea and Luncheon
at their room. About thirty lad-
ies were present and all praised
the students very highly. Each
student made a shore talk on
their respective work in the
class, explaining the subject rep
resented at this occasion. Miss
Shumaker who is the teacher of
this class deserves much praise
for the effort he puts forth in
teaching the various arts in the
culinary department.
