knows of the biting cold wave of

busy, so there is no need for me
to mention these things. All we
need add is that our farmers are
hoping spring will arrive "by and

ary society adopted the following
resolutions:
Whereas, God, in His wisdom
and providence, has seen fit to call
to the home above our beloved
sister and friend, Mrs: Lucy Bur-
ton Farmer.
Resloved, That we bow ia
humble submission to His will,
knowing what He does is right.
Resolved, That we deeply sym-
pathize with the bereaved hus-
band and motherless children,
and as their mother ever remem-
bered us in our efforts to ad vanee
our Lord's work, we will in like
manner strive to remember these
little one. We will miss our sis-
tor. While kept closely at home
on account of feeble health, she
never forgot her Master's work,
nor failed to contribute her mite.
Truly it could be said of her,
"She hath done what she could."
Resolved, That a copy of these
resolutions be spread upon the
minutes of our society, and a copy
be sent to our home paper and to
the Missionary Worker.

Cotton Mill Meeting.
We have been requested to an-
nounce that the factory meeting
called for last Saturday but which
did not take place will Do held at
the court house Saturday, March
3. There is no reason why the
farmers should begin to think
this affair is to be a failure, but
the committeemen should work
earnestly between now and the
day set for the meeting so that a
good showing may then be made.
It should not be expected that a
factory could be put in operation
within thirty days, but it requires
a great deal of time to do all that
is necessary to bo done before
work can bo begun. The differ-
ent committeemen are the ones
who ought to be at work now, for
the number and si/e of the sub-
scriptions will determine the
amount of enthusiasm in the next
meeting.
