"I am in receipt of about 1,000
seals for registering ears for
1924.” said Collector Brown
Thursday morning, and Mr.
Brown directs the automobile
owner how to go about getting
liis new seal.
“A new car, if registered now."
said the collector, “must be reg-
istered for the last cuarter of
; 1923, as the 1924 license does not
begin until January 1. 1924.” In
other words, if a man buys a
new car now and undertakes to
equip it with the 1924 seal, which
U’nited States, has been reduced
during the past nineteen years
over 50 per cent. This means'
that every man, woman ami
child, living today, will live two
and one-half years longer than
he would had tuberculosis con-
tinued as it was in 1904 when the
death rate was 202 per 100,000.
In 1921 the tuberculosis death
rate was 99 per 100,000.
