Despite the freezing weather
which prevailed Saturday after
noon, a large number of friends
and acquaintances many of whom
had known her for almost a life
time, gathered at the Erw in home
on Seventh street to pay a last
tribute of respect to the memory
of Mrs J J. Erwin, one of Bal-

first citizens The large floral
offering measured to some extent
the place held in the hearts of
the many friends by Mrs. Erwin.
An automobile loaded with flow-

the last resting place of the good
wife and mother.

of which she had been a member,
and one of the leading spirits for
more than a third of a century,
impressively spoke a tribute to
the life which had taken its flight
into heaven Mrs Erwin was a
member of the First Presbyter-

which she had sang so often, and
for so many years, sang her fav |
