Pioneering is no easy job any where
City and County officers are not an
exception. Every enterprise wbrth
while comes -through hard labor,
Knocks, and sometimes criticism. We
feel that most of the latter, when of-
fered is because of not having- a full
understanding of affairs and an oc-
casional difference of opinion-grant-
ed to every one.

days old when death called her to her
eternal home. Sister Lawrence leaves
to mourn her departure, her husband,
four sons, four sisters and two bro-
thers. The sons are Howard Lawrence
Lubbock, Texas, ano Claud, Foster,
and J. L. Lawrence, of Peacock; the
sisters are Mrs. Mattie McCarley,
Marlow, OkJa., and Mrs. Janey Grey,
I.a.mesa, Texas; her brothers are 'J.
T. N'iblett, Lames a and T. A. Niblett,
Marlow, Ok la. At an early age she
found Christ as her personal Savior.
Her life was exemplary. The Spirit
of Christ was dominant in her life.
Hi sword was not only reverenced,
but accepted as the voice of authori-
ty. Indeed her life was a Christian
life. The Master has called her unto
the heavenly home. To His will we
submit knowing that He doeth all
things well. Rut Oh, how this saint-
ly woman will be missed. Her home,
her church, and her community will
miss her presence, her sweet Chris-
tian character, her high standard of
living. We shall always thank God
for her life. We shall not sorrow as
those who have no hope, for if we be-
lieve that Jesus died and rose again
even so those which are asleep in Je-
sus will God bring with him. Where-
fore, Husband, Children, Brothers,
Sisters, comfort ye one another with
these words:
Servant of God well done.
Rest from thy loved employ;
The battles fought, the victory won,
Enter thy Master's Joy.
Funeral services were conducted at
the M. E. Church at Peacock by Rev.
Cecil Fox and the writer of these
words. The body was laid to rest in
the Aspermont Cemetery.
