IS COMPLETE
DANDY BUILDING. SEW-
ERAGE, WATER. ALL
EQUIPPED
PECULIAR THING
About it Was That Former
Hereford Man Was The
First Camper
If ■ Tourist stopa you on the rtiw
and asks where the Camp < I rounds are
tell bin. "8w«i Mwfci wt and one
Nock south of the First National Rank
corner" and you will «teer him right.
That new TooHnt Camp bonne la a
reality at laat. The building ia 14*48.
There la a right room, with window*
and doors, for privacy, and the re-
mainder of the roof extenda over a
flooring* apace, with aide* like a parll-
ion. a dirt floor, and with tables along
the Inside*, and another one in the cen-
ter, where the meals can be spread.
Outalde there are two closets, and wat-
er is piped where the tonrlsta can eas-
ily reach It. The telephone company
has been asked to Install a tone, and
arrangements are under way to put
two electric lights Into the building.
There ts n world of room outside for
the campers.
This enterprise has been handled by
the Road and Publicity divisions of the
Chamber of ('ommerce, under Directors
Walter Dunlap and Homer Wilkinson,
reapectively. W. P. West was archi-
tect and contractor. Mr. Wilkinson is
now arranging to erect proper sign-
boards at both ends of town, at the
turn on J. H. Pitman's corner, and at
the Camp Itself.
The building is nicely painted in
brown, with white trimmings, and la
very neat and attractive in appear-
ance. There Is nothing nicer to lie
found anywhere and it Is conRdently
believed this new comfort station will
go a king way towards advertising
Hereford to the motor world as an en-
terprising and progressive community.
One novel feature was the fact that
the first tourist to use the camp. Wed-
nesday night, was W. R. Hubbard, for-
merly a Hereford cltlaen. His father
was a member of the firm of Hnbbard
A Rarnett several years ago. Mr.
Hubbard, now residing at Prederick,
Okla.. was enronte to California, and
was generous in his praise of the new
camp.

KNOWD RED BETTER
The Rraud's in had again We ought
to have known better, but we were so
tickled over thoae nice new Irtah pota-
toes presented to us by W. T. I Red i
Smith that our natural horae-s« n«e
staged a runaway and we put our foot
in It
The neighbors around the Smith
home are raieiug serious objections to
that story about Red Smith * potatoes
They ciaitu that Mrs. Smith did all the
work aud personally raised hose spuds,
and nil that Red had to do with them
was to sample the finished product on
the table! They aver that justice
should prevail, hence this apology to
Mrs. Smith.
Incidentally, we hope this little slip
won't deter others from bringing in
their samples for expert advice.

MESDAMES HENRY
WILKINSON AND L.
W. HOUGH LEAVE
Mrs. Henry Wilkinson and Mrs. !..
W Hough, with their children, are
planning to leave Hereford next Tues-
day for the Pacific coast, where they
will stay until at least September 1.
The health of children In both famll
les makes the trip desirable at this
time. They will probably decide upon
arrival to select San IHego. or some
other resort in that neighbor hood, for
their summer's headquarter*.
