This Year Alone
WASHINGTON Oct 21 (By Associated Press) Repeal of the
excess profits tax as of next January first was made certain today
with adoption by Senate without record vote of a provision in the
tax revision bill providing only for its collection thia calendar year.
The provision adopted is a substitute for the excess profits section
of the existing law.
Before accepting the original provision in the biO the Senate
voted down 2 U 11 an awtndmnit by Senator Reed prepesing that
