Revolutionize the rubber indus-

Keep the Pulpit Out of

Commenting upon a recent gift
of $100,000 by Golden Rule
Nash of Cincinnati to make the
churches more Christian, the Bal-
timore Siin remarks:
•'The trouble with the churches
Is not so much with the congre-
gations as in the pulpit: When
the ministers take up politics, a
Certain amount of religion goes
out of the pulpit. Peoplrt do
not go to church to hear pO
fltical sermons.
The preacher who divides his
time between religion and poli-
tics loses some of his effective-
ness as a minister.
The firut. move in the campaign
to make tne churches Christian
ought, to be. in odr opinion, to
require ministers to atlck to theif
own jobs, and leave politics to
the laymen. %

Worth Rememberiug
It's great to stay young,—just
starting out to see what this
thing we call "life" is really made
of. At the same time we should
keep iu mind that no matter how
recklessly orcuutiously we tread
the path of advancing years, a
fellow cant stay young forever.
Conceived in honor of some
obscure saint or remote happen-
ing, a lot of folks seem to think
that the proper way of showing
respect for such occasions or per-
sons is by indulgence in uusaint
ly revels.
Naverless, as it would appear
from the findings of legislative
investigating committees that,
in the publft: service at least,
quite a few cats got out of the
bag at a time when some folks
were not quite ready for them to
be released.
Someone once declared it to be
beyond the range of possibilities
to have God autT mankind work-
ing for us at the same time. It'
true there must be a reason. As
God gave it to us this was a
good old world. What mankind
has ddne to it is quite another
thing.

Do you. want
bigger
cotton, profits?
PRACTICALLY every ofneial test nude on cotton
fields—on good land, on poor land, in every cot-
ton-growing section — proves conclusively that
bigger profits follow the use of complete fertilizer
as certainly as night follows day. And almost
£very test shows that complete fertilizer will pro-
duce double the profit per acre of that produced
where even as much as 10 tons of . manure per *
acre are used.
Use "AA Quality" Fertilizers for cotton—that's
the sure way to bigger cotton yields and earlier
maturing crops. These fertilizers contam®he exact
food elements that gi\re cation plants a quick start,
make their growth rapid and vigorous, their ma-
turity early, and their yield larger.
"AA Quality" Fertilizers are right in every de-
tail because 60 years of manufacturing, 60 years
of exhaustive field tests, are back of them. Always
in perfect condition for use.
