Mr. W. J. Summers
Dear Friend. conection
I received your Kind letter some weeks a go and would of replied
sooner tho I was wating for envelopes and have none now tho if I
dont get some I will make one.
Well Jo I am improving some tho slow. I think I am, I ma not.
I am this stout: me and Pa and a nother fellow plaid marbles
Sunday and I walked three hours without Sitting down 5 minuts.
tho I feal verry bad and sore about it.
I am Sorry to tell you Daniel is verry Sick at Jacksonville. he
taken his bead at Browns Bordding hous in Jacksonville the second
Saturday in May and we herd no more from him until Ilast
Wendesday, he tried to Scrible a few lines tho we could make no
Sence of it and William went to Troupe and got on the train and
went over to See him and he was some better, tho he had bin out
of his head for a bout 9 days or more most of the time and would
not let the lady wri te to us. he is able to Stand 2 minutes on
his feet now or was 5 days a go. we have not heard from him
Since William came from over there last thersday. Your Uncle Dr.
J. M. Brittian and Dr. Frank Brittain is both tending on him and
they are both good good ones You no or I do. they say it will be
5 or 6 weeks be fore he will be able to walk verry much. he ames
to get them to put him on the train soon as he can bare to be
hal led to the Depot and Send him to Troupe and we wil l hal l him
home. it cost him about $2.00 a day at the bordding hous and it
wi ll take all the money he has to pay out. he sold his place
last fall and amed to go to School and have bin in too bad a
health, has bin in bad heal th ever since was at your place last
summer. he is threttened with absess and compl ication of other
diseases. I Disremember the names of them.
well old Boy crops is verry good for so much rain and cold
weather. laying by corn and Second chopping of cotton. no more
news to write that wi ll interest you that I no of.
Yess tel l CharlIy and James I cant come down to aggravate them
this summer as Pa will nead both of his mules. he is fixing to
finsh the other part of his hous this Summer. You all come up Jo
and See us. I want to come down tho I cant for I will have no
way to come. tell Luis and Bud and them other boys to come up
and See me.
WJell Jo I went up to Griffin and Spent a week and came back
home on the Second Sabbath in May and came by curch tho I never- 8 -
