My Dear Friend
I will drop you a few lines to let you know that I am not ded
tho I am not feeling as well as comon. I have bin sufring with
the tootheache for a week or more. Hope thes few li nes will
find you and Jane all O.K. and them other sorry kin of yours,
makes no difrence if they was ded. their wifes would be
better off. Such usefull men as you and me and Bud L. ought
to have some praise and I'll try to write Bud an i ncouragine
Letter soon.
No news of importance. Rain, Rain is all that we have at
present.
Pa made three hundred and fifteen gallons of molasses, 315,
and we put up 37 big dads? for seed which was bout 12,000
or 13,000 stalks. We ame to plant 6 or 7 acres this year.
I ame to go to school if I can stand the walk ing. I amed
to of went yesterday tho I did not feel like it and I may
not go untill the first of Feb. Daniel has bin teaching
and ames to go in a few days to the Collage at or the
Trinity University for a few months.
I was sorry that you and Tom (got) beat in the Election tho
T may try again. You'll get more votes next time. I saw
lots of ones said the wanted Looney two terms and then they
would not voat against you, So come again Both of you.
Pa was realected to his office by a Long vote, and Evans
got beat for Balif. Bill Griffin got it now.
Frank Johnson and Steward Holcomb bought out the sawmill in the
old field this side of Stewards. Your Uncle Frank, your Uncle
Lewis was with a Miss Taylor Sabbath last. She is the present
school teacher now at Concord, and John Dean was with Emma bout
fifty yards be hind her pa all walking home from singing from
Jim Johnsons. Jim now l ives whare Eafrum Richardson (1 ived)
when you was up hear. Wesley Henry stold Brits girl, Betty
Martin. he was a nephew of Johns, a Sun of Jim Henry's.
Bob Carroll has a girl babie at his hous two or three weeks
old. I guess you heard bout Boge Sharp cutting Osker Jones
some time ago, tho he is up now and bout well.
Jo, I saw a Merry Xmas. There was a pretty girl 16 years- 11 -
