With the enthusiasm of our 1969
Cleveland reunion already start-

Over the past few years the
unit party room has grown to be
a meeting place that is convenient
for all desiring to gather with
their former unit buddies. It has
served as a central point of unit
functions. Drop a letter to Jack
soon as possible so he can make
arrangements without an un-
necessary last minute rush.

in July. It seems all the personnel
had to be jump qualified. At 46 I
figured it was kind of late in the
game to start jumping out of air-

Our Vice President elect, Spiro
Agnew, served with the 10th Ar-
mored Division and had to miss
that outfit's Detroit reunion this
year because of his campaign
for office.
As we toured Washington, D.C.
after the Arlington ceremonies,
Fred and Ev Erichsen and I
were wondering why our asso-
ciation had never had a reunion
there. The tours are tremendous
and endless. The restaurants are
terrific.
Stan Sarnocinski, in his Octo-
ber 714th column, suggested a
committee of Clarke-Romano-
Camerata-Caravelli to head up
a drive for an eastern 112th ADA
chapter. Sounds great.
After reading the proposed
plans for Cleveland's Friday
night extravaganza, you'll wish
that event would be tomorrow
night.

MID-WINTER MEETING
CANCELED THIS YEAR
The mid-winter meeting of the
president, executive secretary &
chairman will not be
held this year. The president
at whose option this meeting it
•jjlfci stated that the purpose
,.t of' the meeting is primarily the
formation of reunion planning &
the solving of problems as nec-
essitated by procedures that are
foreign to new reunion chairmen.
With this years Cleveland reun-
ion committee being chaired by
£ past president and past reunion
chairman Jack Miller, the asso-
ciation^ reunion success is well
protected. Constant correspon-
dence between Chairman Miller
and President Saehloff has in-

ted is functioning at high speed
and all facets of the annual af-

President Saehloff further sta-
ted that this decision also ad-
heres to the wishes of the Ex-
ectuive Council as discussed dur-
ing their first meeting in Phil-
adelphia this year. Opinions ex-
pressed at that meeting, clearly
showed that a "top negotiator"
in hotel procedures would be an
asFBt to our association on a
permanent basis. This year, we
have such a man as our reunion
chairman and he is firmly back-
ed up by standard bearers Nick
Hardony and Dave Glontz.
According to Saehloff, the as-
sociation's expense involved for
this meeting would not be com-
pensated for in the solving of
any reunion planning questions
that may arise this year.
