HAPPY EASTER HELLCATS
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our
association members a very Happy Easter. With the coming of
Spring it is time for us to awake from our winter slumbers
and start thinking of the summer to follow and vacation plans.
Let us all make a real effort to include the 18th Annual Reunion
in Louisville, Ky. as a part of our vacation. Remember the
dates — JULY 30, 31 AND AUGUST 1.
92ND RCN MAN
PASSES AWAY
SUDDENLY
The sad news of the sudden
death of William A. Rail ('HQ
& SV/92) who suffered a fatal
heart attack on March 2, '64
was relayed to us by two sourc-
es. We first heard this tragic
news from Frank Nestico -
(D & E/92) of Bristol, Conn,
who called us long distance.
Since then we received the
[following letter from Frank
Terr a no (HQ/92) of N.
Babylon, N.Y. He writes as
follows: "It is with deep re-
gret that I inform the associ-
ation of the passing of William
Rail, suddenly March 2nd of a
heart attack. Bill was a staunch
member of the association and
tooth of us were to make plans
to attend the next one togeth-
er. I know that the association
joins me in extending to Mrs.
Dorothy Rail our deepest and
heartfelt sympathy.''
According to our records Bill
has (been a memlber since 1955
and through the years had at-
tended five reunions. He will
truly !be missed by his Hellcat
friends. Personal messages of
condolence to the Rail family
can 'be sent to 18 Park Ave.,
Kings Park, N.Y.
George W. Spicer Jr. (A/714)
45 Wellesley St. Maplewood, N.-
J.: — "Finished Radar Main-
tenance school at Fort Bliss,
Texas. The whole family liked
Texas better than home In
New Jersey. The only thing
they missed was the beautiful
snow and winter wonderland
we have here at home. Took
the kids to the bullfights In
Mexico while we were in Tex-
as. The kids and I enjoyed lit
but the wife didn't like it too
much. Found the radar work
quite interesting and I liked
the maintenance course very
much but I sure wish there was
some way I could get back lnito
ordnance (automotive) which I
had been in since 1947 and in
company maintenance since
1942. Best regards to the fel-
lows from the 714th."
