Prices in Shackelford, Throckmorton and Stephens "counties are not inflated like in other counties in this sec-
tion, and we have just as fine agricultural lands as can be found in the state. Buy now, while land is cheap. We
have our own teams, buggies and hacks, and show all the property we have for sale, and give all information in
regard to this fine country and its past, present and future. v •>

Heavy Snow in Albany Indicates
Fine Crop Year.
Friday, December 17, Albany was
visited by a severe "norther."
'That night the clouds thickened,
the wind lay, and a snow ot
about three inches fell. Satur-
day was cold and cloudy. Dur-
ing Saturday night more snow
fell, making in all about five
inches.
Farmers and stockmen are all
rejoicing over the snow. For
the cattle it means winter grass,
and for the soil a mellowing and
seasoning which nothing else
can give. Many an insect and
seed gemi has died as a result of
this cold siege which will re-
lieve vegetation next year of
myriads of deadly enemies. The
farmer can now plow his ground
and make preparations for a crop
with hope for a1 bounteous yielcfc

Work Continues on New School
Building.
E. G. Withers of Stamford was
down Wednesday to inspect the
public school building. He pro-
nounces the work satisfactory
and it is progressing slowly but
surely. Although the stone work
; contractor, J.^T. Allen, has gone
| to parts, at the present, un-
! known, the School Board is pro-
ceeding with the erection of the
1 building. Bad weather, slow-
ness in procuring stone, and
other difficulties have retarded
the work and wHl defer the com-
pletion of the building.
