1 AN ACT
2 relating to the addition of land in the territory of the Ranch at
3 Clear Fork Creek Municipal Utility District No. 1.
4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
5 SECTION 1. Section 8343.004, Special District Local Laws
6 Code, is amended to read as follows:
7 Sec. 8343.004. CONSENT OF MUNICIPALITY REQUIRED. The
8 temporary directors may not hold an election under Section 8343.003
9 until each municipality in whose corporate limits or
10 extraterritorial jurisdiction the territory added by Section
11 8343.005 is located has consented by ordinance or resolution to the
12 inclusion of land in the district. Consent of the City of San
13 Marcos is required for the inclusion in the district of the
14 203.47-acre tract described in Section 2 of the Act enacting this
15 chapter unless the district, before holdin% an election under16 Section 8343.003, excludes the 203.47-acre tract described in
17 Section 2 of the Act enacting this chapter from the district's
18 territory,
19 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
20 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
21 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
22 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
23 Act takes effect September 1, 2013.1
