TWISTS AND TWINGE ?.
"My brethren," shouted Dr, Talmadge
one bright autumnal Sandav, 4'here is a
lesson from the cornfield. God has ar-
ranged lh*t the ear and the husk shall be
farted. Every iheuu.atic pain is but a
thrust of the husking-peg, ami every neu-
ralgic twiEge is orly a twist of tL« busk-
er."
Possibly; hut nobody wants to be busk-
ed, for all that, and nature teaches lis lo
lesist the process. Therefore we accept
with gratitude whatever helps us to sup-
press those very twists and twinges.
From (lis pleasant home, (ireenmont,
near S'ng Sing N. Y . M. Alfred Faei, a
French gentleman, writes;
"1 have suffered almost intolerable tor-
ments from riitumtuisui for many years.
Of the numerous remedies which 1 tried,
none benefited me. But Parkk's Tonic
gave me great satisfaction. I certify with
pleasure ihat it restored my health" Yon
aie welcome to publish this a»d use my
name."
Messrs. Hiscox & Co., call especial ats
tentioii to the fact that this preparation,
which has been known as Pa k kick's Gin-
ger'1 omc, will hereafter be advertised
and sold himply under the name of Pakk-
er'& ''onic. As unprincipled dealers are
constantly deceiving their customers by
substituting inferior preparations under
the name of ginger, and as mnger is real-
ly an unimportant ingredient, weuiop the
misleading word.
There Is no change, however, in the pre-
paration itself, and all bott'es remaining
in the hands of dealers, wrapped under the
name of Pakkkks Ginger 1 onic, contain
ihe genuine medicine, if the lacsiuiile sig*
nature of Hiscox & L o is at the bottom
of the outside wrapper.
MINISTERS HAVE TRIED
to battle with disease without the
proper remedies, and have been
ignominious!/ overthrown in the
contest. Wh£n the minister is sick,
everybody knows it, and many
well-meaning friends proscribe all
sorts of things to cure him, some
of which would kill him were he
to swallow them. A kind-hearted
woman brought to her almost dy-
ing pastor a great jar of pickles,
and said she knew they \vould curc
him, for she had pickled them
herself The sidt 'minister who
swallows at random ever}' sort of
nostrum his friends -suggest may
kill himself in doing so. 'But he
who, when run down by debility,
"worried by dyspepsia, distressed
by malaria, or vexed by liver com-
plaints, takes Brown's Iron Bitters,
makes a sure thing of his1 recovery.
The human system is too
precious a thing to try random
experiments oft, or to doctor in
the dark. Some people trifle witty
their stomachs and livers as they
would not trifle with a two-dollar
Yankee clock. This is foolishness
and worse. It is well known
that Brown's Iron Bitters is no
experiment, no guesswork, no
hap-hazard trial. The Wonderful
{reparation oi iron on which it is
>ased is the only form in which,
that metal can be taken into the
system without injurious effects. It
enriches the blood. It drives out
intermittent fevers. It restores lost
appetite by putting the stomzch
into a condition in which it c^.n
digest food. It sets wrong livers
right, and makes them secrete and
dispose of bile as they should.
No minister, nor anybody else,
runs a risk in making a trial ol
Brown s Iron Bitters. It is a matter
of happy experience with' thou-
sands of people that this potent
rfemedy has restored them from
disease to health. Their testimo-
nials are on record, and can be
seen by all who hav e a curiosity in
that direction. Ask your druggist
for a bottle of Brown's Iron Bitters
and you will find what a pleasant
remedy it is, as well as efficacious.
