National Bank gave a banquet
at the Albany lIousevTuesday
night. The ollicers and Btock-
holders of the Alo'rau State
Bank, had a Special invi-
tation to honor the occasion
with their presence, and Capt.
T. l'\ Pettue, Jim Cottle, (I. K-
Waters and It. .1. Patterson
were here as representatives ot
the Moran Bank.'
In the annual flection of
officers for the Albany National
Bank, there -were mt changes
made. The ..Qfiitre.rs and stock-
holders of the bank were highly
gratified with the. success ot
the bank for the year that has
just passed out. At II oYlt >k
sharp the otlicers, stockholder-,
and their invited guests, repair-
de to the Albany House, and
were ushered into the din
room hall. The menu would
have done credit to any hotel in
the state. Nine courses were
served on thiy occasion and
no glasses were turned down.

took it turn about in acting as
toast masters. Vice-President,
C. 15. Snyder, ,) r. said the lirst
toast, subject: Banking. Next
came W. (1. Webb, Cashier,

Albany National Bank, follow-
ed by W. J I. Stephens, Cashier,
of the Moran State Bank, sub-
ject: Sound Banking. Then
(.'apt. T. F. Pettufi was called
on lor a toast, subject: Moran
State Bank. Alter Capt Pet-
tus, then caiue McCarty, on
gliitering generalities, but sub-
ject proper, was the success of
| Shackelford County as a whole.
A vote of thanks was given to
Mis. Melton for her hospitality
and tine service on the occasion.
Between 12 and 1 o'clock the I tenant house, . never failing
