An examination by the Doctor'°f the human
showed that his skull was frac-
tured by the blow.

ities and will have an examining kidneys,
trial today (Wednesday.)

The special session of the 3lst
Legislature has had, up to the
present time, some 20 different
subjeets submitted for consider-
ation, none of which if enacted
into law, would open a mine, or
build a factory, add a mile of
railroad, bring under cultivation
an additional acre of land or en-
courage the investment of anoth-
er dollar in business enterprises
in the state. While a few of the
suggestions may possibly poasesa
merit along other lines, the pros-
perity of Texaa will not be jeop-
ardixed by a postponement of leg

The people in this section of
the city have allowed more enter-
prise than most any other in the
construction of cement sidewalks
and as a result they are fast ma-
king this one of the beauty spots
of the city.
Cement sidewalks, cement co-
pings add gutters, with
lawns, shade-tree lined,
ideal streets and lawns.
With good sidewalks, and good
gutters for drainage, it is very
little trouble to keep the streets
in good condition, for it is an as-1
