Funeral of J. T. Grant.
From Hobart, Okla. News.
Yesterday the funeral of Prof.
J T Grant was held, with the
members of the M. W. A. in
charge. The remains were tak-
en to the M. E. church, south,
where beautiful discourse was de-
livered by Rev. W. J. Moore.
The procession then reformed
and proceeded to the Hobart
cemetery where the body was
laid to rest.
Prof. Grant stood high in our
county. He had many friends
who will be pained to learn of
his untimely death. His illness
was’ brief and it was not thought
that the disease, typhoid fever,
would prove fatal until a very
short time before his death.
But the grim monster, death,
crept in and took him away be-
fore we were aware of his pres-
ence. He had just joined the M
W A at Sibony and held a policy
for $1000 in that order. He had
been a member only about three
i weeks.
I Prof. Grant was a few years
ago a citizen of Eastland county,
and had many friends here.
