O'Neal-Bush Vows Exchanged In
Eleventh Street Baptist Church

Mr. and Mrs. Paul O'Neal. 204
South Madden became the bi ide
of Glen Bush, son of Mr and Mr .
Pearl Bush of Waynoka, Okln., on
Saturday. April 3, at 4:00 o'clock
in the afternoon.
Nuptial vows were exchanged in
the Eleventh Street Baptist Church,
with the Rev. Dorian Blaslngamc,
pastor, officiating in the double
ring ceremony.
The church altar was decorated
with two tall, white baskets of
white mums and pompons flanking
the prie-dieu. In ihe background
two floor candelabra, entwined
with jade leaves, ueld cathedral
tapers which formed an arch of
light. The bridal aisle was marked
with white satin bows.
Mrs. George Howard, pianist,
played a prelude of wedding music
as guests assembled. She ac-
companied Mrs. Boyd Williams as
she sang "Always' by Berlin and
"Because" by d'Hardelot. Mrs.
Howard player! traditional wedding
marches for the processional and
recessional.
Mrs. Bill Alexander of Amarillo,
sister of the bride, was matron of
honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Dovie
Phillips of Amarillo and Mrs. David
Kelley of Pampu.
Tile attendants wore dresses of
green cotton satin fashioned with
fitted bodices with low, round neck-
lines and short sleeves. The street-
length skirts were designed with
pleats on either side.
The wore matching green pill-
box hats and carried smgle long-
stemmed white roses.
Little Miss Vickie O’Neal, sister
of the bride, was flower girl. Her
dress was an identical copy of the
dresses worn by the bride’s at-
tendants and she carried a white
basket ot petals.
Gene Bush of Amarillo, served
his brother as best man.
Groomsmen were Jerry Black-
well, brother-in-law of the bride-
groom and Jerry O'Neal, brother
of the bride, both of Amarillo.
Ushers were James O'Neal of
Borger, the bride's brother, an*
Roy Don Leake of Amarillo, who
also lighted the candles.
The bride, who was es(toiled to
the altar and given in marriage by
her father, was attired in a wedding
gown of white lace and bridal sat-
in- The lace Jacket Was styled With
a high round neckline and long
sleeves, which terminated in petal
points over the wrists. The floor-
length satm skirt was enhanced
with soft pleats on either side.
Her elbow-length veil feH from
a tiara of seed pearls and rhine-
stones, She carried a colonial bou-
quet centered with a white orchid
and showered with maltne puffs
and white satin streamers tied in
love knots.
The bride carried out the tra-
dition of wearing something old.
new, borrowed and blue with a
coin in her shoe.
The bride's mother selected a
blue silk suit accented with a blue
flower hat, and the mother of the
bridegroom wore a beige suit com-
plemented with matching acces-
sories. Both wore corsages of white
carnations.
Following the ceremony a recep-
tion was held by the bride’s par-
ents in Fellowship Hall of the
church.
Mrs. James O'Neal of Borger,
sister-in-law of the bride, presided
at the guest register.
